Hey Dataswarmers,

Today's a big milestone event for us, as we're finally publishing our first Alpha build for our game!

It contains 8 new levels with all the assets created by our awesome art team!

Feel free to download and play our game! We hope you enjoy it!

Progress Report

Art 

  • Completed:
    • Art asset integration pipeline
    • Enemy assets x2
    • Gameplay & Main menu UI
    • Basic VFXs
  • To do:
    • Animations for MC and enemies (Additional textures needed for MC's face)
    • Additional VFXs (e.g. Bullet, Shoot effect)
    • Additional UI (Settings, credits)

Audio

  • To do:
    • Assess the Alpha build and determine which audio assets may need modifying, and any new ones that can be created

Programming

  • Completed:
    • Alpha build levels: 7 New levels, 1 rework, 2 Old levels
    • Uploaded new models and textures for main characters
      • Added idle and shooting animations
    • Uploaded new models for enemies, flooring, background, and goalpost
  • To do
    • Revamp Codebase for easier implementation
    • Finish Implementing Tutorial slides
    • Enemy Particle emissions
    • New levels based on Rook and Bishop enemies
      • And Bishop Hack!
    • Add prototyping to background props
    • New Title Screen
